about

Some notes of explanation:

There was a software update for one of my eurorack modules last week (ALM Busy Circuits Pamela's New Workout). Among other things it introduced a new random quantized pitch selection mode. And as a way to learn how these new features work I decided build a track around those features,

I spent all of 30 minutes exploring the new functionality and came up with the main melodic material of the piece. The randomized element created a lovely bed (reminiscent of a dawn chorus) for the drones and chordal material below it, slowly building layers and layers up to the climax of the piece.

Stuff used:
Moog Matriarch, ALM Busy Circuits Pamela's New Workout, Make Noise STO, Muteable Instruments Tides v2 and Braids, Make Noise Mimeophon, Folktek Nano Garden, Moog DFAM. Strymon El Capistan.
